Historical Background The company was established in 1991. At the beginning mainly the largest West-European suppliers acted as procurement sources for Golding, however since 2002 a substantial stock from direct Far-East import has also been available for the company’s clients. The development of the company was really impressive (cca. 30% per annum) during the first 10 years. A stable supplier network, subcontractor base for imprinting activities and a reliable clientele have been established as well as a well trained staff operating as a real team in the impressive headquarters of the company. In order to co-operate with the resellers smoothly Golding established a brand name: Present Perfect. First it meant the whole collection offered by the company and all of its reseller partners. Since early 2004 the name of Present Perfect Gift Service has included not only the products but their sellers (the whole sales chain supported by Golding marketing tools) as well. After the first signs of increasing competition, Hungarian market saturation new ways of development had to be looked for (2002). Golding established an export team for selling the stock items in the wider region. The company was audited according to the ISO 9001 standards by TÜV and received the Suitable NATO Supplier certificate. IGC membership (2004) is also one of the successful ways of being more active in international areas.
Company profile: Golding serves end-users directly and also operates through distributors with turnover ratios of 53 – 47 %, respectively. With its more than EUR 11 M yearly turnover (2005) Golding has been the market leader in Hungary since the beginning. In order to provide better service for its partners the company put its focus on serving only the largest firms operating in Hungary. The most significant pharmaceutical, FMCG, petrol, retail and telecommunication companies are served by Golding. It is hard to find a loyalty program in Hungary where the company is not involved at least in the background. Incoming calls from not-registered buyers are transferred to the nearest resellers.

New distributors / resellers are always welcome by Golding. In addition to the website the company provides several excellent printed catalogues for its customers: own stock items are represented in Gift Cocktail, the suppliers' collections are presented for the market (in Hungarian with HUF prices) in the following catalogues: The Catalogue, PromOcean, Russell Collection. Very special promotional products can be ordered from Gift Cocktail Special. End users receive these catalogues under Golding flag while resellers / distributors can use these tools with logo of Present Perfect (without any reference to Golding). A huge collection of samples can be mustered in the largest showroom of Budapest in the company headquarters. Almost all kinds of products are available from the portfolio: premium gifts, textiles, office utensils, outdoor accessories, home and kitchen articles, electronic items, etc. IGC membership is one of the most important achievements of the export team. It is not merely selling more goods to more customers but also a really useful source of procurement and changing ideas, discovering new products with nice design and competitive prices. Golding is also an active PSI member taking part in the shows regularly, mainly as visitor but once a year as exhibitor, too.
